YOU THINK I GIVE A DAMN ABOUT A GRAMMY? 18-time Grammy winner and "Polka King" Jimmy Sturr is outraged that the Grammys are dropping the "polka album" category. Total categories drop by 1 to 109, with Latin Urban Album being combined with Latin Rock or Alternative Album and "Contemporary Folk/Americana Album" being split into separate categories. (Also, apparently, the field formerly known as "Folk" will now be known as "American Roots Music.") Here's a list of last year's 110 fields. Any others that could be eliminated or combined (how about a single "Tejano/Norteno/Banada" category?), or are there categories that need to be added?
