It's seriously creepy, to be sure, but NY Magazine has been on a real hot streak of late--the Gaga profile, the "what if women ran Wall Street" cover story, the Oscar piece, and yes, purely shallowly speaking, the Christina Hendricks pictures.  It's up there with New Yorker as an essential weekly read, and lacks the New Yorker's frequent self-importance.

    I just don't like people enough to ever want to be in a club like that, let alone spend $900 a bottle of vodka for the privilege of doing so.

    I'm not sure that "liking people" as people is the purpose of being in a club like that.   I've ended up in bottle service situations for bachelor parties party, and I've found them to be among the least enjoyable/sociable evenings out I've had.

    For me, the Nike ad widely misses the mark if its intention is to rebuild the Tiger brand.  It feels like a public shaming and that made me uncomfortable--like I'm bearing witness to him being branded with the letter A.  Turn a grown man, an incredibly gifted athlete into a little boy being scolded by his father?  I just find it creepy and unecessary.

    Not to mention by his dead father. As much as I feel it was wrong for Earl Woods to pimp out his child, I feel it is equally (if not more) wrong of Tiger to pimp out his father after he's passed.

    And can't we agree that the Tiger brand will never be what it was? Especially if he keeps apologizing. Pretty hard for the public to forget that he did if he keeps talking about it.
