BUT THEY'RE NOT PLAYING THE MERENGUE.  THEY WILL:  This is just adorable.  A supercut of a whole lot of movie dance scenes.  No My Blue Heaven, unless I missed it.
DON'T STOP ME NOW?  The on-again, off-again Sacha Baron Cohen-starring Freddie Mercury biopic is now on again, with SBC writing, directing, and starring.  The band itself is still on board, so they won't have to Jackie Jormp-Jomp it.

added:  Never mind: off again, as Brian May says the band manager's comments were misconstrued.

YOUR MOVE, COACH K: UNC hoops coach Dean Smith's will provided that each player he coached at UNC who survived him would receive a $200 check from his estate, with the message "enjoy a dinner out courtesy of Coach Dean Smith."  His estate is following through on the bequest.
IT'S PROVOCATIVE!  IT GETS THE PEOPLE GOING!  With the (apparently awful) Get Hard arriving in theaters on Friday, Vulture ranks all 27 films in which Will Ferrell appears in a lead or supporting role (excluding voice roles and cameos).  Argue away.

STIRRUPS, UP:  The eighth season of the ALOTT5MA fantasy baseball league will draft online Thursday night at 10pm.  It's 5x5 (OBP instead of BA), h2h style.  If you're interested, please let me know ASAP and we'll add the first two volunteers to our existing ten members.
INSERT COIN TO CONTINUE: Steven Spielberg is now attached to the film version of cult novel Ready Player One.  The novel certainly touches on several common Spielberg themes, including the longing for family, feeling like an "other," and the role of technology, but I'm fascinated both by how Spielberg and the script will choose to depict the OASIS (the virtual world in which most of the story takes place) and whether they'll be able to clear all the rights that appear in the book as an important part of the story, which include D&D modules, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, WarGames, and a long list of 80s video games.
THIS AIN'T NO PARTY, THIS AIN'T NO DISCO, AND THIS IS NOT A REBEL SONG:  Twenty songs whose live versions are the definitive ones.

[#21: Sugar, "Hoover Dam."]
YOU'LL HAVE TO TRY TO REMEMBER IT:  Because after May, after 55 years, The Fantasticks is ending its NYC run.

ALL ABOUT THAT TREBLE (NO BASS):  The metal world is being rocked (sorry) by reports that Metallica's Lars Ulrich deliberately removed all the bass tracks from And Justice For All...
TO BE FAIR, LAST YEAR, HE WAS ALL-IN FOR THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL:  Vin Diesel has projected that "unless the Oscars don't want to be relevant," Furious 7 will be nominated for and win Best Picture next year.

I FEEL THE EARTH MOVE:  Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, which was nominated for an arm-load of Tonys last season, winning for Best Actress and Best Sound Design, is getting the film treatment.  Various folks have been rumored for King biopics in the past, including Allison Williams, Analeigh Tipton, and Taylor Swift.  I'm assuming that despite universal praise and a Tony for Jessie Mueller (who originated the part on Broadway, and is already at GT courtesy of the cast album), she won't be getting it.
THINK ABOUT DIRECTION, WONDER WHY YOU HAVEN'T BEFORE:  Many songs with prominent changes in key.
FAMETRACKER REBORN? With his version of The Late Late Show debuting tonight, Vulture helpfully answers "How famous is James Corden in the UK?"Still unexplained--who the heck Ant and Dec are, and why Graham Norton is a thing.
