THANKFULLY, THEY DID HAVE MR. PERSONALITY (#238) RANKED AHEAD OF MARK PHILIPPOUSSIS' AGE OF LOVE (#260): Apparently, I wasn't ambitious enough -- the NYT's Jon Caramanica has ranked The 348 Best Reality Television Shows of the Aughts.

  1. Any list that has KidNation in the top two is fine by me.  That show doesn't get remembered fondly enough.

This list is ridiculous.  Joe Schmo 2 at the way bottom and the top Survivor mention is #25?  Boo.

I'm happy the list has Beauty and the Geek, I always had a soft spot for that one.

Look!  Comments without an extra click.

Ahem.  Any list that has Idol Season 6 ahead of any other season of Idol is suspect.

Ace of Cakes is not the worst.  Cake Boss is the worst.

I'm just sorry that Conveyor Belt of Love aired just 4 short days after eligibilty for this list.  Did anyone watch it?  Not that I did.  I just, um, was in the room.  And it was on.  And I couldn't find the remote.  (Except, thankfully, to zip through the commercials.)

  8. I'm with you on Ace of Cakes.  Everyone in the bakery is super cool and the cakes look amazing.  How could someone find it so objectionable?

  9. No mention AT ALL of My Big Fat Obnoxious Boss?

  10. no list of 348?! best/worst reality shows is complete without "There's Something About Miriam." (hint: "something" = penis) Seven straight guys compete for the love and affection of a hot latina model, unaware that she is actually a transgendered man. the big reveal to her chosen guy (the winner?) in the final episode is cruel (hilarious) and the guy is obviously in shock, especially after weeks of romancing, making out and hot-tubbing with Miriam. all the guys sued the hell out of the production company.
