Favorite thing about pi? The time the state of Indiana passed a bill to define it as 3.2, in order to teach Indiana students how to square a circle (which is, of course, impossible). The reason it eventually got stopped? They found Waldo. Specifically, a Professor Waldo of the Purdue mathematics department, who just happened to be walking through the capitol on other business that day, who set them straight. Or circular, as the case may have been.

I would be remiss if I did not note -- as my Dad has reminded me at least fortnightly for my entire life -- there are pi * 10^7 seconds in a year. (Or, near enough - 31,500,000ish).
