EVEN A BAD COOKIE STRAIGHT FROM THE OVEN HAS ITS APPEAL: The NYT this morning seeks to perfect the chocolate chip cookie recipe. Among the twists: refrigerating the dough for 24-36 hours before cooking the first batch.
