CULTURAL WASTELAND: Boy, a day in bed sick with a remote sure will remind you that, mid-summer, there's nothing on TV and you've already emptied the DVR. Good thing I have, on Adam's (and Rhett Reese's) recommendation, the Joe Schmo 2 DVD to tide me over until Mad Men starts on August 16. Nonetheless, yesterday's boredom reminds me to ask: what are you watching this summer? Tosh.0 and Better Off Ted? The Complete BSG on Blu-Ray? YouTube videos of Comic-Con panels? The pages of 1984 that you got to before Amazon deleted them from your Kindle? Pray tell.
