CAN WE BE FUNNY AGAIN? I am not entirely sure, but SNL's Royal Family Doctor last night (and Martin Short in general) was the kind of silliness I needed. Chunnel.
Do we know what the cold open was supposed to be? Was it used later in the show, or just ditched? (I've only seen through Royal Family Doctor so far, but agree that it was very funny.)
I'm still a little shocked that Paul McCartney performed three times... and THOSE were the three songs he performed. I guess "Wonderful Christmastime" was unfortunately unavoidable... but "My Valentine"? Really? (Sweet enough song, but come ON, this is Paul McCartney.)
It's a good thing "Cut Me Some Slack" kicks all sorts of ass. (Even if, yes, it didn't quite have the same kick of hearing it for the first time at the 12/12/12 concert.)
Loved the troll riddle, but then the sketch dies Armisen shows up.
ReplyDeleteRoyal Family Doctor very much amused me.
ReplyDeleteAlso funny? Samuel L. Jackson's Twitter response to his f-bomb: https://twitter.com/SamuelLJackson/status/280186515873738752
Also what I needed: the showgirls/llama/Lincoln trinity.
ReplyDeleteStill behind Lincoln C.K. as the best Lincoln bit on SNL this year.

ReplyDeleteMy guess would be either something political (notably, no political material at all aside from Update) or Lawrence Welk Show.
ReplyDeleteThe only cut-from-dress bit on Hulu is a taped bit: Malibu High: http://www.hulu.com/watch/435941#i1,p5,d1
ReplyDeletePiccadilly Cervix was the cathartic laugh I needed.
