As I said on Twitter, much as I don't like to see people lose their jobs for something that's not particularly their fault...boy, did SNL need to weed that cast a bit. What, 16 cast members or so? There was no room for them.
I so rarely watch SNL anymore, but when I did tune in to a late season episode, i had essentially the same thought (more in the nature of "Why are they making Don Pardo read so many names?").
