Beyond the obvious, he was great on Fringe. Perfect casting on what may be my favorite show that nobody watched.

RIP to a great man who did both the things in his catchphrase

You can;t say enough about what he did with that part and with the rest of his life. Such a fascinating breadth of interests and in his later years a willingness to play up his past a bit as well (I maintain the Futurama epsidoe "Where No Fan Has Gone Before" is one of the finest takes, both cutting and cuddly, on the relationship between fans and the actors who do the con circuit as you're likely to fond.).

I watched too, and I fully agree.

RIP, and may his memory live long. Two things:
    1) To bang a drum Nimoy himself took up on Twitter over the past year or so: Don't smoke cigarettes. Don't start, and if you've started, quit. Find someone or something to help you quit. And quit. For real. For good. SMOKING IS BAD FOR YOU, AND IT SUCKS FOR YOUR FAMILY. CUT IT OUT, BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE. Then hopefully you can live long and prosper.
    2) I was rather surprised that I didn't see any mention of "In Search Of..." in the Times obit. Before the ST films and before he became known as a director, it was probably what he was best known for on his post-ST:TOS resume (notwithstanding his great supporting turn in the 1978 Invasion of the Body Snatchers).

And anyone who wants some advice on quitting, drop me a line. I'm at 2 years, 4 months and 12 days and feeling much better.

He was also a part of the greatest Simpsons episode of all time, "Marge vs. the Monorail."

The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few, or the one. But, imho the many need a world with Mr. Spock still in it. This may make me cry.

    "But you didn't do anything!" "Didn't I?"
