WHERE'S THE LOVE FOR GOOD VIBRATIONS? Tony nominations are out. Suffice it say that unsurprisingly, Monty Python's Spamalot dominated with 12, and there are some surprising omissions (no Denzel Washington, David Hyde Pierce, Jeffrey Tambor, or Maureen McGovern), and some utter blandness (the same 4 shows are squaring off for Best Musical, Best Direction of a Musical, Best Book, and Best Score). Sadly, I haven't seen enough of this season's shows to intelligently comment (though Glengarry Glen Ross deserved all six of its nominations, especially the set design one), and I have work-related program activities to attend to, so I throw the floor open.
