JOHNNY, JERRY, JACKIE AND LASSIE: EW and TV Land did are having a Listravaganza (trademark pending) this Friday, counting down TV's top 50 icons, which I would think would be more about iconic characters in most cases (excluding the Carsons and Lettersmans), but apparently is actually honoring actors, thus I would think giving those who played more than one iconic character (you're Newharts, Van Dykes, Shatners, Arthurs and Smits, for instance) a leg up. That's probably more thought than went into the whole enterprise, but if you want to see the list before Friday, 1-50 are here and 51-100 are here (Marcia Cross, really?).

And speaking of icons, is there a better character on TV than Jack Donaghy right now? ("Look how Greenzo is testing. They love him in every demographic: colored people, broads, fairies, Commies. Gosh, we've got to update these forms.)
