singing an obscure instead of well-known song doesn't make any difference in terms of your likelihood of being eliminated, but you shouldn't sing something that someone else already has performed in the show's history. Tonight: The Songs of Shania Twain.
Could it be that it a contestant on the edge of elimination who is desperately trying to wrench themselves back onto the ledge, from whence they are dangling by their fingers, have a belief that a song that went over before will go over well again? How have people done on repeat songs which were songs another contestant was elminated on, or when a song leads to an elimination, is that song now radioactive?
ReplyDeleteMmm. People don't seem to learn. The Whitney Houston song "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" is famous as a contestant killer, but people keep picking it.
