A MESSAGE FROM OUR FRIEND SHONDA RHIMES: "Please watch my finale. It is a good finale. It is a finale I love. If you watch it, I will give you candy. Okay, not so much candy as the thought of candy. Or as Cristina Yang says in Season One: candy but with blood which is so much better! Does that help? Okay, just watch it. Thank you."

    Dear Shonda OH OF COURSE I WILL WATCH YOUR FINALE I CANNOT WAIT!!! The preview during last week's show made me tear up a bit and begin to panic. I am a 30 year old female which I think makes me your target demographic. Please forgive me for watching it on Tivo because I have tickets to 'In the Red and Brown Water' at Steppenwolf, but I will probably come right home and watch the finale before going to sleep.

    I'll be watching it, but on the DVR, because I'm watching Fringe first.

    However, not to spoil things for anyone who hasn't watched the first 10 minutes linked above, but I have little doubt that the major plot element introduced at the end is going to render the one introduced at the beginning moot.

    Also, it's very odd seeing the guy I instinctively identify as "Head of the Secret Service" in a role like that.

    By the way, my daughter made me a quilt for Mother's Day (out of 4 pieces of paper). Each piece of paper represents something I love: 1) my family, 2) the beach, 3) bicycle riding, 4) Grey's Anatomy!

    That was hands-down the best episode of Grey's I have ever seen, and I have watched them all (some begrudgingly).

    Extraordinary! Wow. Perfect example of why I love Grey's. Was also thrilled that it wasn't all cliffhanger-ish. Glad to know that the chief survived, Derek and Alex are out of surgery, etc.

    On another note, I'm hoping wildly that you will be blogging at least part of the Bee this year. Your comments are the icing on the Bee cake!
