YOU'RE WEARING MY SHIRT, LORELAI: It had been rumored for a while, but now that it's official, what do we think of Lorelai Gilmore and Casey McCall dating? (I will say that the brief summary offered in the interview excerpts is kind of adorkable.)

Don't do it, Lorelai!  Nate's ex has a crazy brother!

I was concerned about which Lorelai, but since it's the age-appropriate one I support this.

  3. We had a Parenthood screening in June that they were both a part of, and when they were away from the audience they were very cute and based on what was said, it seemed as if they'd been seeing each other for a while. I'm Team Caselai.

I normally am just ancillary interested in actors' lives, so I think this will be somewhat the same for me. It'll be along the lines of: "Oh, they're dating? Huh. I guess that fits. They seem like they'd be a good couple. Moving on..." It's an itch to scratch and then go on. Kind of like when I wonder about the home lives of Duff Goldman or Alton Brown or any of numerous other regular actors/notable people I watch. I get curious, do a 5-minute google or wikipedia search, satisfy my curiosity, and then never care again.

You were worried about Peter Krause dating Marion Ross?

When and if they ever argue, will only squirrels be able to hear it?

I couldn't remember if Graham had been married before, and when checking her bio on imdb, found this nugget: "Former roommate of Connie Britton."  That? Was a house of awesome, I don't doubt.

It's interesting that both Fisher brothers are now dating women that play their sisters in their current shows.  Interesting or creepy, one.

That's great!  I hope that sticks -- it's like Brangelina for the ALOTT5MA set.

And at one point a waitress for Ann Sathers, a Swedish-American mini-chain of restaurants here in Chicago, known for their decent cinnamon rolls and partly owned by Alderman Tom Tunney, first openly gay member of the Chicago City Council.  So there's your useless knowledge of the day.

My thought is that it must be fairly serious because Lauren Graham has never been very public about her dating life except to say a million times that she and Matthew Perry are not dating. I hope she's happy.

From the interview, she sounds very happy, so I'm happy for her, and for him. And on some level, it's always nice to hear about successful people who are dating in the same age bracket, instead of chasing pretty mactors 15 years younger.

They are two of my favorite actors; that's a whole lot of talent right there in that relationship.  And they seem smart enough to keep it pretty quiet, stay out of the limelight with it and not let the crazy celebrity/paparazzi thing take it over.  Good for them.

  14. Much of the Gilmore Girls cast is awesome in little-known ways in their personal lives--Liza Weil (Paris) is married to Paul Adelstein (of Private Practice), Sean Gunn (Kirk) is the brother of James Gunn (director of Slither and several other flicks), who's Jenna Fischer's (amicable) ex-husband and buddies with folks of various levels of awesomeness, including Nathan Fillion and Rainn Wilson.

Also, I love that they play board games.

It can't be Brangelina unless there is a Lonely Jen in the mix.  Also if they adopt a passel of children from third world countries, those children's potential multilingualism and superfast talking will make them an unstoppable linguistic force.  It can't be allowed!

Potentially, Matthew Perry could work in the Aniston role.  Former Friend left behind by new love.

Though, there is the issue that neither Graham nor Krause was married at the time their romance began, so the Brangelina model might not fit.

How about them being the new William H Macy - Felicity Huffman instead?

  18. My first thought when I read about this the other day was "I wonder what the folks at ALOTT5MA will have to say about this!"

    Don't judge me. I promise I have a life.

I know this is a little doomsday-ish, but my first thought was that if it doesn't work out one of them will have to leave Parenthood, thus ruining one of my favorite shows.  (It's all about me, you understand.)
