A NOBLE SPIRIT ...  It's got to be a pretty cromulent day in the Simpsons' writers room, as another word they've invented has made its way into mainstream vocabulary.

"Embiggen" as opposed to "enlarge?"  "D'oh" filled a void...

Kwyjibo (n): a big, dumb, balding, North American ape with no chin. And a short temper.

The most exciting thing about this link is, for me, finally learning the word "eggcorn."

They actually mention that on the linked page.  Embiggen could relate more to the spirit where as enlarge relates more to the physical.  An embiggened heart is different from an enlarged heart, see?

But someone else there said that cromulent was in the same episode as embiggen but I disagree.  Kent Brockman says avoision is the perfectly cromulent word, right?
