BUT THEN MY HOMEWORK WAS NEVER QUITE LIKE THIS: In an apparent effort to win a How Many ALOTT5MA Faves Can You Fit In One Film contest, witness Cameron Diaz, Justin Timberlake, Jason Segal and Phyllis Smith from "The Office" in
the very NSFW trailer for this summer's Bad Teacher, scripted by the writers of
several of more of the (good) cringe-inspiring episodes of "The Office".
Also, per Wiki, John Michael Higgins (who we see briefly in the trailer), and Eric Stonestreet. I'm hoping this is good, rather than just gratiuitously crude.
ReplyDeleteDo we like Cameron Diaz?
ReplyDeleteWe have a long-term fondness.
ReplyDeleteNot without dissent.
ReplyDeleteMaybe this is a Rodeo topic, but it's not Wiki, it's Wikipedia. Wiki is a generic term for a user-editable encyclopedia-like site, and there are many, many of them. Wikipedia is one species of the genus.
ReplyDeleteOkay, done ranting about my pet peeve for the day.
Wait, I can't use HTML? That sucks.
ReplyDeleteyou have to use the embedding tools about the comment box. Yeah, it's annoying.
ReplyDeleteSeriously. Have you seen The Holiday?
ReplyDeleteI think the new Smurfs movie might be a contender in the HMAlott5maFCYFIOF contest: NPH, B.J. Novak, Alan Cumming, Sofia Vergara, Fred Armisen, John Oliver, and Tim Gunn (also starring famous non-ALOTT5MA faves Hank Azaria, Jonathan Winters, Katy Perry, George Lopez, Paul Reubens, Keenan Thompson, Jeff Foxworthy, and Wolfgang Puck.) (Some of this categorization may be sconstant-fave based, rathre than strictly ALOTT5MA-fave based...)
ReplyDeleteWhich, to me, means that even a high-ALOTT5MA-fave movie may suck smurfily.
Sometimes I forget that not everyone has had the experience of having seen Cammy portray a fictionalized version of his or her sister-in-law on screen.
ReplyDeleteAnd for added ALOTT5MA favortism for "Bad Teacher", IMDB says Dave "Gruber" Allen (Freaks & Geeks) is in the cast as well.
ReplyDeleteThis trailer is awesome. I'm embarrassed to love it, but I do.
ReplyDeleteI've seen several films at least partially because Ms. Diaz was in them that I've disliked - A Life Less Ordinary, Charlie's Angels 2, The Holiday, Vanilla Sky - but I never thought she was the main problem with them. And there have been plenty that I enjoyed.
ReplyDeleteBeing John Malkovich, In Her Shoes, and Vanilla Sky all demonstrate that Diaz is something quite a bit more than just a pretty face. (Though she was admittedly miscast in Gangs of New York.)
ReplyDeleteAdam is really Shrek's brother! Finally, the curtain is lifted.

ReplyDeleteDid I see "Gibby" in there too?
ReplyDeleteOh, man, Stupntsky/Eisenberg. For Dinner Party alone, those guys should get genius grants. Raise your hands if you were thrilled when they included the shooting script in the box set.
ReplyDeleteThat was great, I'll probably be catching that this summer.
ReplyDeleteIn terms of CD, she's at a low point for me- ever since I had to see her force-feeding A-Rod at the Super Bowl. That image haunts me.
Yes, you definitely did.
