Go Packers, 49ers, Patriots and Texans  (all easy picks for me except Texans since I have nothing against the Ravens especially).

I'm at once both too cautious and too ignorant to really make a strong argument that the 49ers will win, but I sure hope they do.

Same "rooting" (not really rooting) interests as Finn - but then I actively dislike the Ravens and Broncos.

If it wasn't for Modell, I'd be picking the Ravens.  'Cause I think the Texans are going to lose by at least 15.

ARG!!!!  I was late getting started watching the NO-SF game and by 8:00 was about 10 minutes behind on my buffer.  Then my stupid new DirectTv DVR Software switched to the NE-Denver game...even though the second tuner was unused!  I didn't notice until 8:10.  So I skipped from the two minute warning, to Jim Harbaguh hugging Vernon Davis, missing the last two touchdowns! I'd already called to swtich to FIOS at the end of the month, as DTV's new software is HORRIBLE, but this would have been the last straw.

In other news, Tebowie was really brilliant.  Watched it 5 times today.  Boy does he do a good Bowie vocal impression.

  8. Just to add: I was driving back from State College starting at 4pm, so  I listened to the first three quarters on the radio.  Just how did SF's defense do it?

Taking advantage of some very bad drops (including on a punt return), pressing Brees a lot, strips, interception; the whole package, Adam.

  10. I've been braced for Broncos games like that one since they gave Tim the starting job.  So the most difficult thing about watching the game yesterday was not seeing the Broncos dominated by a (statistically) weak defense.  No, the most difficult thing about the game was listening to Phil Simms.

  11. As a Colts fan, the last few years we've had lots of the Nantz-Simms combo on CBS (since they were typically the game of the week/top billing). Glad to know I'm not the only one he drives CRAZY. I never hear other people say things and thought it was just me. That was ONE good thing about our 2-14 season this year.
