START WRITING THE SCANDAL SKETCH NOW:  Perhaps in response to complaints about lack of diversity in recent hires, Kerry Washington will host SNL on November 2.  Washington is the first African-American female to host since Maya Rudolph in February 2012, and the first non-alum African-American female to host since Gabourey Sidibe in April 2010.

And also, perhaps, because the show is awesome. Also excited about first time (!?) host Edward Norton the previous week, w/Janelle Monae.

I'd like to see a sketch where Olivia Pope appears on the Californians .. . "tell me EVERYTHING . . ok, you take the 305 to the Santa Monica freeway . .."

That seems really odd that Norton hasn't been a host yet. Now they just need to get Jenna Elfman and they'll have the Keeping The Faith set.

I confess I'm much more interested in Janelle Monae's performance than Kerry Washington's hosting. But my SNL threshold is VERY low.

Fun fact: If you close your eyes and just listen to the voice, you cannot distinguish between Kerry Washington and Constance Zimmer.
