WONKY-BUT-ACCESSIBLE PARADE OF DUCKS APPROACHING: Among this year's honorees in the annual Peabody Awards at the University of Georgia for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Excellence (In Media) are Inside Amy Schumer, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, The Americans, Jane the Virgin, and Rectify. ReplyDeleteThe Peabody Awards are among many things that make me proud to be a Georgia alum. (Woof.) I am very glad, though not surprised, to see John Oliver on there.

ReplyDeleteJohn Oliver is incredibly deserving. Each week, he manages to introduce an issue that I knew little about and also thought I cared little about - and by the end, I'm informed, fuming with anger, and overall, still entertained.
