HAS MAX BIALYSTOCK DONE IT AGAIN? I haven't seen any post-Tony box office numbers, but judging from iTunes, several performances were big hits, since there are several cast albums in the top 100:
  • #7--Next To Normal
  • #15--Hair
  • #19--Rock Of Ages
  • #51--West Side Story
  • #88--Billy Elliot: London Cast
Given that I found the NTN production number somewhat incoherent, surprising that it seems to be leading the chart. News is less good for straight plays--Neil LaBute's much-acclaimed reasons to be pretty posted a closing notice for next Sunday after the shutout.

ETA: The axe has also fallen for Guys and Dolls. I've never seen a production of the show, and will try and go this weekend.
