If this is true, then it's an extraordinary get. Actually, Conan's done a pretty good job booking--he doesn't have a ton of hot names with big projects to sell, but rather folks who are good and engaging guests who will be willing to play along with Conan's bits, which is more important.
I'm looking forward to Conan being back on TV! I hope he really did get Nicholson because that would be pretty awesome. I thought I heard somewhere that Tom Hanks is also on the first show.
BTW - Does anyone know how ratings are calculated? Like, does it screw things up if people are DVRing the show and watching it the next day?
If you're a Nielsen family, then it is better to watch live. If you're not a Nielsen family, it's better to watch on Hulu or some other measurable format.
That link includes an update from Conan's people indicating they were joking about having Nicholson on the show, so I guess we'll have to wait until Monday to know whether this was legit. For the record, I'd consider Nicholson a bigger coup than DeNiro.
[chops down another door and holds a stopwatch] Homer Simpson: I'm Mike Wallace, I'm Morley Safer, and I'm Ed Bradley. All this and Andy Rooney tonight on 60 Minutes! Marge Simpson, Bart Simpson, Lisa Simpson: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!
Crap. How did I not go with HEEEEEEEEEERE'S JOHNNY! as the title?

ReplyDeleteBigger coup: Nicholson on Conan on TBS, or Fallon getting De Niro for his first Late Night show.
