TOMORROW IS, INDEED, A DAY FOR CHANGE: Once the UPS workers shifted back from shorts to slacks, this was only a matter of time. According to a tweet from the green-and-black topless mermaid, red cups return to Starbucks on Tuesday.
Man, we thought we were being so good, shopping for our first house over the summer, so we could be all nice and settled in by the holidays... our offer was accepted July 10th... and we've been dragged into short sale purgatory ever since. They told us it could very possibly be approved this week, but will have to close in 30 days. This (obviously) puts us smack dab in the middle of the holiday season! And possibly moving in a December blizzard (as would be my luck).
So to make a long story short, my Christmas season is starting a month early this year. I will be doing all of my shopping with the thought in mind that it is already December, and Thanksgiving is Christmas. Those little red cups are going to get me through many shopping trips and card-writing sessions methinks.
I have really been missing the 'bucks since moving to Helsinki, but now the red cups. It's like adding insult to injury! Someone enjoy a Toffee Nut Latte for me!
I saw someone on Broad Street with one today. Somebody jumped the gun.
ReplyDeleteThis must mean that it's time for me to start treating myself to a grande peppermint mocha every Friday.

Cannot figure out why those little red cups make me so happy, but man, do they ever.

ReplyDeleteThis is one of those zeitgeist things that means absolutely nothing to me.
ReplyDeleteGuess I've never noticed the red cups.
