GOD FORBID SOMETHING HAPPENS TO HER, JIMMY SMITS AND AUNT BERU ARE READY: Natalie Portman is engaged and expecting. Her intended, Benjamin Millepied, is a principal dancer with the New York City Ballet who used two of his 1,000 feet to appear across Portman in Black Swan (or did he?), for which he served as choreographer.

ReplyDeleteScarlett Johansson is Jewish (ethnically and by religious law, in not by religious affiliation), so there's still some hope. And fascinating that Portman racked up so much in the way of films to be released next year--she's got at least 3 ("Other Woman," "Your Highness," "No Strings Attached") banked to take account of the Oscar nod and the publicity.

ReplyDeleteIirc, Annette Bening was hugely pregnant when she lost to Hilary Swank for Boys Don't Cry, so she tried this tactic too. She should have taken tips from Catherine Zeta Jones.
