MEAT CANDY: CNBC's Darren Rovell reports on the sizzling popularity of bacon in the video clip you'll see below the fold. While Rovell somehow misses the remarkable bacon grease popcorn now served at Philadelphia's Khyber Pass Pub, he does make sure to mention the new Maple Bacon Sundae at Denny's ("layers of vanilla ice cream, topped with maple-flavored syrup and diced hickory-smoked bacon") as part of their Baconalia celebration, which I guess they'll even serve to black people now because of all the court orders:

I must try this "Bay-kunn" they speak of.

My favorite use of bacon: On a recent trip to Las Vegas, we ate at Rick Moonen's restaurant and enjoyed a "Fat Elvis" for dessert: A spring roll filled with banana, chocolate and bacon. Honestly, it sounded a little dubious on the menu. But it was unbelievably delicious.

  4. My former roommate made us bacon baklava last fall.  Walnuts instead of pistachio and bourbon and maple syrup instead of rosewater and honey.  It was delicious.

The Chicago movie theatre that is just west of the target on Roosevelt serves bacon popcorn in the theate(s?) off the bar upstairs. Also cocktails. Also seating in that balcony is over 21 (which was oddly refreshing). Bur the popcorn is awesome (not so much the premium seat price).
