WHEN YOU READ SOMEONE'S FUTURE, THEY MUST THINK OF A QUESTION. THEY MUST HOLD IT IN THEIR MIND. THE CARDS ARE READ IN SEQUENCE, EACH CARD LEADS TO THE NEXT. WE MOVE FROM TERROR AND LOSS TO UNEXPECTED GOOD FORTUNE AND OUT OF DARKNESS, HOPE IS BORN: Flavorwire's Christine Jordan
imagines where the My So-Called Life characters are now.
I'm pretty amenable to these outcomes but I did imagine Angela embarrassing a daughter of her own.
ReplyDeletePretty good, although I agree that Angela's seems a little off. And Brian would occasionally Google Angela's name, but never reconnected with her until a couple of years ago when she got on FaceBook.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I don't see Angela (or Danielle) at Smith--a women's school? Yeah, I can see that, but maybe something a little less self-consciously pseudo-boho.
ReplyDeleteI also don't buy Graham and Patty splitting, especially in the "6 years later" storyline. Yeah, if Graham had cheated with Hallie Lowenthal, I could buy it.
I kinda figured Angela stayed near home and went to Pitt.
ReplyDeleteI did love Ricky's though.
ReplyDeleteBrian's entry is a short short story of quiet, comfortable life joy. I like it a lot, actually.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing wrong with fan fiction. But you should do it private. And wash your hands afterward.
ReplyDeleteNo way Sharon stays with Kyle all through college. She could barely stand him in high school.
ReplyDeleteBut Brian, Ricky, Rayanne, Jordan and Danielle all ring true.
