HOW TO WRITE A POST THAT PRACTICALLY NOBODY READS: Write about a thousand words comparing a show that practically nobody likes to a show that practically nobody watches, and then make the post title an obscure line from a band that practically nobody has ever heard of, and then make sure that the line doesn't actually relate to the post, because the line from that song that actually relates to the post might arguably possibly be a spoiler. That ought to do it.
I enjoy this blog. I do.
ReplyDeleteI read it! It made me want to go finish the Louie that I missed most of last night by falling asleep, which then made me so depressed that I couldn't think of anything to say. Other than that I still hate Vincent Chase et al.
ReplyDeleteI read it. I just didn't have anything to say until tonight when I watched some cached episodes.
ReplyDeleteOf Louie, I mean. Never paid any attention to Entourage.
And let me mention again my love for Doug Stanhope. I realize that people with more refined sensibilities or narrower notions of what is in good taste might think less of me for it, but I'd just think less of them for thinking less of me. That's what sensibilities are for, after all.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1047610/ Good stuff, Maynard.
What Phil said. Just finished the episodes, and then Isaac's earlier post.
ReplyDeleteSo what was the spoiler lyric? (I've now seen both episodes, so I'm curious.)
ReplyDeleteI knew it, you're nothing but goddamned hipsters, with your shows no one watches and obscure bands and fanny packs and cut-off shorts.
ReplyDeleteI'm waiting to catch up on Louie before reading!
ReplyDeleteDon't forget doofy straw hats.
ReplyDeleteSure. Straw hats now. But after Labor Day I'm transitioning to a Bowler and a monacle. I've been waiting almost a decade for conditions to be right to begin affecting a Bowler and a monacle.
ReplyDeleteI don't watch either show but I read it because of the Blitzen Trapper lyric. Also because I read pretty much everything on this blog, whether or not it is relevant to my life/I have a point of reference for the post.
ReplyDeleteThe lyric is "I can live with God and with suicide." it seemed uniquely appropriate to both episodes of Louie and the last episode of Entourage, but it probably gave away too much of the suicide stuff, even if it was kind of obvious in both what was coming.
