APPARENTLY, IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH STAR BLAZERS OR THE CFL: Okay, so his beloved Red Sox haven't won on his birthday since the release of
Good Will Hunting, but it hasn't stopped Ben Affleck from becoming a heck of an interesting filmmaker.
Argo looks awesome.
They filmed for about a month at our offices (hence my meeting Clooney for the first time last year, since he produced.) I never saw Kyle Chandler though, dammit. Yes, my life is sad.
ReplyDeleteAnyhow, the sets were great, movie looks awesome, and from what I hear from those who have seen it, it meets up with the hype. Can't wait.
It's really one of my favorite bits of CIA shenanigans. I'm totally looking forward to this one.
ReplyDeleteIt was shown at Telluride today (yesterday? Today, I think) so the movie critics I follow have been talking about it. They all appear to have been really impressed. It looks great!
ReplyDeleteI'm pumped. Affleck, director-wise, is a very solid 2-2 with me so far.
ReplyDeleteGone, Baby Gone stands with Pan's Labrynth and Children of Men as my maybe 3 favorite films of the last 10 years.
ReplyDeleteWow. I'm in for Argo on so many levels...
ReplyDeleteWe caught "Gone, Baby Gone" on DVD during my yearly quest to see everything that's nominated. I was surprised that it ended up being one of my favorites that year.
ReplyDeleteI remeber reading the Wired story years ago and thinking that it was such a cool CIA plan. Plus, Victor Garber!
