Hi, Neat post. There's a problem with your web site in internet explorer, would check this? IE still is the market leader and a large part of people will pass over your wonderful writing because of this problem.

  2. I liked Vulture's version as well: http://www.vulture.com/2013/04/summer-movie-preview-f-marry-kill.html

Seems like the blockbusters are front-loaded, but there are some nice smaller movies that should be trickling out through Labor Day.

Saw Iron Man 3 on Wednesday night. It is fun and way better than Iron Man 2 and Thor.
A recommendation to skip 3D unless you are totally committed to the format as the effects don't add anything to the story.

  6. You could actually argue it started last week--Oblivion (Tom Cruise! Morgan Freeman! Sci-Fi!) and Pain and Gain (Mark Wahlberg! Dwayne Johnson! Michael Bay!) both are very "summer blockbuster"-y.

  7. I'm super-excited for Star Trek, and suspect I'll enjoy Iron Man, but the one I am most looking forward to is probably Elysium, mostly based on my affection for District 9. It looks like it's probably too "on the nose" with its political message, but so was D9, and it managed to be great fun. Overall, looks like a fun summer for movies.

  8. Oblivion sure as hell uses the tropes of every other blockbuster (but it's kind of worth seeing for Andrea Riseborough).

  10. I am looking forward to Iron Man 3, Star Trek, Monsters, Inc. prequel, and Much Ado About Nothing, which may not be a blockbuster, but promises to be awesome.
