BUT ISN'T HE SUPPOSED TO BE BALD? Page Six is reporting (so take it for what it's worth) that Justin Timberlake will play Daddy Warbucks in the Jay-Z/Will Smith-produced and Quvenzhané Wallis-starring remake of Annie.  Timberlake's people are denying it, but that could be interesting.

As we discussed [X] years ago, you can't have a white Daddy Warbucks with an African American Annie, because then you're just doing Diff'rent Strokes with a female Arnold Drummond (and more singing). Better to cast Daddy Warbucks as the hip hop mogul who lost his connection to the community.

Are they not doing Annie as a period piece? Because that feels wrong.

Set in modern N! Y! C!, with some new songs. Screenplay by Emma Thompson and others.

Having just finished The Wire, I'd like to suggest that Lance Reddick play Daddy Warbucks. As much as I like Justin Timberlake and will happily cop to searching for videos of what I missed on Fallon last week... he's not fit for the role, as Adam B. stated earlier. Who's playing Miss Hannigan? Any rumors flying around? I think I'm looking forward to seeing this.
