I cannot see how this would work. I doubt Dwayne Johnson can replicate Kurt Russell's ineffectual John Wayne impersonation, so right there they're going in a different direction. But if they remember that Wang Chi is the real hero, not Jack Burton, it may not be a total failure.

ReplyDeleteThe words "doubt" and "Dwayne Johnson" do not belong in the same sentence, ever.
ReplyDeleteHowever: I believe ALOTT5MA Style Guide still refers to him as "The Rock" or, at most, "Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson."
My personal style guide prefers "Mr. The Rock".

ReplyDeleteHe hasn't been credited (aside from on WWE programming) as "The Rock" or "Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson" since 2007.
