WELL, DUH: The 2011 Nobel Prize for Literature has been awarded to Swedish poet Tomas Tranströmer.

  4. The Literature Prize is essentially self-parody at this point. Paraphrasing David Frum, somehow they manage to avoid giving the Chemistry Prize to the high-school teacher in Paducah.
