DO YOU KNOW WHAT A STRAIGHT FLUSH IS?  IT'S LIKE ... UNBEATABLE:   Honeymoon In Vegas: The Musical is coming to Broadway in spring 2013, with Tony Danza booked to star in the James Caan role.

No word on who gets the Nicolas Cage and Sarah Jessica Parker roles, and I can't imagine anyone here has a suggestion. [Also, if you're turning Cage films into musicals, shouldn't Peggy Sue Got Married and Face/Off come first?]

  1. I JUST referenced this movie last night. We were watching an episode of Chuck that had a parachute brigade and I was disappointed that they weren't the Flying Elvii, Utah Chapter.

You can't do Face/Off on stage. How would you control the doves?

  4. There already was a musical of Peggy Sue Got Married, though it never came from the West End across the Atlantic.

I'm just excited we get a new Jason Robert Brown score. Parade and Last Five Years are two of my favorite "new" theater scores from the last 10-20 years. He's good stuff.

  7. Might be difficult to cast the leads.

Come on, NPH could certainly play a dual role.  Or Anne Hathaway could play one of the Nic Cage characters and everyone would just believe she and NPH looked exactly alike because of the power of their general awesomeness.  No?
