NO, IT'S NOT THE ONE WITH DEBBIE GIBSON V. TIFFANY:  Tonight, Philadelphia's Academy of Natural Sciences will be hosting its quarterly Mega Bad Movie Night to dissect the "science" of The Lost World: Jurassic Park.

I mention this because their next such event will be Thursday, May 31, and the featured film will be ALOTT5MA favorite Sharktopus. Who's up for a get-together?

  1. You know, the last time I gathered with any ALOTT5MA folks was the 1776 screening in...2007? And I've never seen Sharktopus, so I might just be "in" for this.

  2. Sharktopus is the greatest film about a half-shark, half-octopus ever made.

I would seriously consider trekking down to Philadelphia for the evening just for this.

Relatedly: I'm heading down to Philadelphia for a couple of days this weekend. Any sugggestions on anything fun/interesting/different that will be worth visiting while we're in town?

  4. In terms of new stuff, Manayunk on Ice?  Also, Lob City @ 76ers tomorrow.

Give me more specifics on what you're seeking.

Interested, but this hinges on whether I have income come the end of May or not (feel free to infer my meaning there; but, I'm not allowed to say anything more until next week).

Until a sequel comes out titled Sharktopussy, I'll agree.
