HEY, KETTLE, THIS IS POT CALLING: American Idol executive producer Nigel Lythgoe complains that Game of Thrones is currently moving too slowly.  Maybe look at your own show's padding first, hmmm?

After reading this, I want to force Lythgoe to watch his own show a la "Clockwork Orange", where he can't blink or turn away.

The only way to watch "Idol" is on DVR. This year it's worse than ever. Forget about all the traditional padding; the comments from four judges have become interminable. They're all rambling, and range from incoherent to idiotic. If they eliminated all the judges and just put Jimmy Iovine up there, it would be a vast improvement.

I agree that GoT is moving too slowly. In fact, just yesterday I though, ugh, it's only Wednesday? I have to wait another four days for Game of Thrones? That's what he's talking about, right?

  5. In the few, brief snippets that I've seen of American Idol this season, I discovered that Mariah Carey had never heard The Beatles' "She's Leaving Home" or Garth Brooks' "The Dance" before. So, in the hours and hours of Idol coverage I DIDN'T watch, what else has she admitted to not knowing?

Or just expose him to a little of the ol' ultra-violence.

  7. Nothing screams relevant like another Burt Bacharach night.

I also agree that Jimmy Iovine is the best judge on the panel.
