IT'S LIKE EBERT STUCK TWO THUMBS UP YOUR ASS AND HAD A TUG-OF-WAR WITH HIMSELF:  Suppose you were the guy who wrote North. What would you say when you met Roger Ebert, and how might he respond?

Also, if you haven't read it lately, Ebert's Viewers Guide to Citizen Kane is always worth another look.

I would say "Not Found," and I'm guessing Ebert would respond with "Error 404."
And, clicking on the link, I see that's exactly the exchange! I'm in their heads!

After a little bump in the road caused by our hosted account

our side, we found the drain to be fairly noticeable.
Even if it's a holiday you don't celebrate, the season running from Thanksgiving through Christmas/Kwanzaa/Hannukah/Festivus and into New Year's Eve, you will have bad luck.

  6. Two things:
    - I love how everyone knows that Ebert's "I hated hated hated hated hated this movie" quote comes from his review of NORTH. That's the only thing many people, me included, know about the movie.
    - Speaking of CITIZEN KANE, I love this Michael Atkinson piece about Kane's mother and the Kane Boarding House scene: http://www.movingimagesource.us/articles/revisiting-rosebud-the-mystery-of-mary-20130408
