AMADRONE:  I cannot be the only one who would prefer that rather than a swarm of drone octocopters, Amazon's new delivery system involved an armada of flying monkeys like the ones from Oz.

P.S.  "Cyber" Monday? 1996 called; it wants its once-trendy adjective back.

added: Waterstone's has an ornithological response.

  1. To me, cyber means one of two things. One is cyberSECURITY, which I hope everyone takes care to implement today. The other... well... I hope today is a good day for Skype and FaceTime.

As for Amazon, I'd prefer a real-life version of the old Commodore PET game "Artillery" myself. Evaluate the wind, set an angle and amount of force, and, if you're skillful enough, the package will arrive momentarily.

Perfect time to note that the Waterstone's Twitter feeds are fabulous:

So what your saying is that it wouldn't really matter if I knew American Sign Language when I'm in a chatroom?

  4. How many hands do you need for ASL?

On artillery games, I was a big fan of Apple ]['s "Clowns and Balloons"

Hell, I'm 40 and have no idea why anyone would want the favorite e-mail accounts of Russian drug scams.
