Which only raises the question (but doesn't beg it): what are the other best TAR moments ever? Two that come to mind: "My ox is broken!" (OBVIOUSLY), and Team Guido getting abandoned in Alaska.
Chris and Alex passing Tara and Will down the home stretch of TAR2. (Hell, that whole final episode, with the ice globe challenge and Follow That Plane?)
My Ox is Broken is for sure number 1. I'd second Matt's beef roadblock comment as well - loved seeing someone (Boston Rob, of course) game the game. On that note, maybe the plane pulling back to pick up Uchenna and Joyce and ultimately propelling them to a win?
One of my favorites is a small one: Boston Rob collecting money from two other teams to bribe the bus driver in Argentina or Chile to open only the front door -- then pocketing his own contribution to the pool. A nice bit of game play.
Also perhaps the only episode that Matt Groening disowns and one of the only episodes where Matt Groening did not show up to do commentary for the DVDs.

ReplyDeleteTeam Cha Cha Cha meets Fern.
Charla and the side of beef.
The great "I quit" moments in the Beef roadblock in Argentina. Flight Time and Big Easy slowly going mad in the "Kafka" roadblock.
ReplyDeleteWATERMELON IN THE FACE!!!

ReplyDeleteElena had heart, but Watermelon to the Face had a WATERMELON TO THE FACE!
ReplyDeleteAnd now I see that Matt made that same comment over at Previously.tv. How long until Jay Sherman visits the FXX marathon?

ReplyDeleteI don't remember when it airs, but I know it's one that I set my TiVo to record. I believe it's a season 6 episode.
