AND THERE WAS RIOTING, UM, SOMEWHERE IN TEXAS: In a journalistic oversight almost as deeply offensive as that whole "flushing the Koran" thing in Newsweek, apparently, for a brief period last night, E!Online was reporting that America's favorite "Newlyweds," Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson, had filed for divorce. E! subsequently retracted the story. I'm just wondering exactly why E! apparently had a draft report cued up and ready to go announcing a Lachey/Simpson split.
