IF HE WINS, CAPTAIN HAMMER WILL ACCEPT THE AWARD: It's hard to think of an award category that pits more things that this blog likes against one another than this year's Hugo nominees for Short Form Dramatic Presentation. Your nominees:
  • Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog
  • Lost--"The Constant"
  • Battlestar Galactica--"Revelations" (midseason finale, with the big Tigh-Adama scene)
  • Doctor Who--"Silence in The Library/Forest of the Dead") (the Moffat-scripted Time Travelers' Wife takeoff)
  • Doctor Who--"Turn Left" (the "what if there was no Doctor?" episode? Really? Over the finale of either Who or Torchwood?)
Moffat-scripted episodes of Who have (pretty deservedly) won each of the past 3 years, and neither Lost nor anything from the Whedonverse has ever won in short form (Whedon won for long-form for Serenity).
