UNNECESSARY REMAKES REDUX; UNNECESSARY DOES NOT MEAN UNENJOYABLE: The runaway pop culture train known as The Muppet Movie and the runaway pop culture big rig known as OK Go were bound to collide at a grade crossing somewhere, and the carnage was bound include shreds of both the original Muppet Show theme song and of OK Go's video oevre. So, rubberneckers, to the crash site.

The muppet green album is streaming on NPR and a lot of awesome but maybe not the ok go song.

Sorry Isaac, anything involving the Swedish Chef and Waldorf and Statler is necessary by definition.

i love it! I also highly recommend the Jim Henson exhibit at the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria!  Check out their website as they show different Henson movies every Saturday and are having a big celebration on his birthday (September 23 I believe).

There you go, putting Waldorf first, and now we're going to dredge up that age-old animus between the Statlerites and the Waldofrians.  Haven't we had enough of this war?

A quick google search says...Statler goes first.  By about 2:1.  A quick google search also turned up this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGfx3QAV64M

Yup that's just put a big happy grin on my face. The use of the Muppets working Ok-Go as puppets genius.

I mean, of course Statler goes first.  But I just don't want to fight.

I still think it's a middling cover, but there's some great stuff in that video.  Baaaaaaaark!  (Also, the cucumber slices.)

(By the way, the official Muppets site lists them as Statler and Waldorf, even though Waldorf was always on the left. )
