The one thing I enjoyed about Ramiro Mendoza's brief tenure with the Red Sox (2003-04) was that whenever he would blow a game I could shake my fist at the sky and recite this line.
Someone somewhere (wish I could remember where I read it to give credit) pointed out the beauty of how Senator Mendoza combines stock 80s action movie villains (the corrupt politician and the South American drug lord) into one character. He's a Senator who's secretly a South American drug lord!
Mendozaaaaaaaaaa!
ReplyDeleteIce to see you.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly makes sense in an 80's movie sort of way.
ReplyDeleteThis ignores McBain: Let's Get Silly, which, as we all know, is the pinnacle of the McBain series.

ReplyDeleteI think I saw something like that on either Metafilter or the AV Club.
