Lacking Project Broadway, I watched a lot of old BBC shows casting for Cameron Mackintosh - "Any Dream Will Do" (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat), "How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?," and "I'd Do Anything" (Oliver!). One of the Nancy finalists in I'd Do Anything is playing Eponine in the new 25th Anniversary Les Miz concert that PBS is running.
Laura Osnes, Project Broadway winner, did quite well for herself! Apparently she was great filling in for Kelli O'Hara in South Pacific, and now she's playing Hope Harcourt in Anything Goes (with Sutton Foster and Joel Grey).
Wow if the USAirways rant was four years ago, then I've been reading this blog for four years. Funny thing is I don't remember (and therefore no longer visit) wherever it was that had the link that led me here...but I've been hooked ever since.
I always love looking at things I wrote a million years ago, because I remember so little of it. Did I use those words in those combinations? I saw the title of this post and went "I see my fake name -- what was that from?" When I look at something I wrote a week ago, I remember details of why I used certain words or why I put things in a particular order. Four years later? Nothing. Except I do remember pairing "Omarosa" and "Carrot Top."
I miss Project Broadway. That was fun.
ReplyDeleteI miss the pre-Bravo TWOP.

ReplyDeleteI can't believe that airport rant was four years ago.

ReplyDeleteOf course, maybe if TWOP doesn't get sold, there's always the chance we never get Monkey See or the delightful Pop Culture Happy Hour.
ReplyDeleteI'm Guest in this case.
ReplyDeleteI always did love the rebuses. Even though my success rate was zero.
ReplyDeleteI laugh harder at a good spacerant than I do at most anything else.
