It makes me so happy they used the really bad green screen boat scene from "Ringer."

Wait - there were other scenes in Ringer?

Yep, all the scenes of Reed Richards looking like "What the HELL am I doing here?"

I watched the whole thing, and the only show I thought, "gee, I'll miss that" was Awake. I thought that was a cool concept.

  5. Much as I love Chuck, House should have the final slot (though there's also an argument for Desperate Housewives).  And while I was able to recognize 90% of the shows, to really ape the necrology, the titles should have been in the lower right hand corner.

  6. I thought the exact same thing about House/Chuck, though until the Three Stories scene popped up I'd been thinking they should have used a slo mo "Caruso putting on his sunglasses" shot as the final image.

Hey, have I ever mentioned I had an Irish roommate for a while who loved watching One Tree Hill? No, I don't understand it either.

  8. Wow, is it possible to follow up such an iconic House clip with any blander and unmemorable a Chuck clip?

Awake is the only show I feel bad about getting canceled.  We'll see how it sticks the landing, but while it made for a kinda bland procedural, it was pretty fantastic as a surreal meditation on loss and grief.

I really liked Terra Nova in theory, but not in execution.  Not at all.

It's so good and right for most of it, but then the arbitrary decision to include those couple cable shows at the end for absolutely no reason really sucked me out of the emotional moment. Also, the pimp slot HAD to go to a David Caruso one-liner and sunglass tilt, didn't it?
