UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO COP: Even though the fall season has yet to begin, networks are already buying pilots for Fall 2013. I'm not sure how I feel about
Pariah,
a pitch NBC has bought, in which "the Mayor of San Diego appoints a rogue academic with no law enforcement
background to run a task force using Freakonomics-inspired alternative
methods of policing." So, who do you cast as such a "Rogue Academic?"
David Krumholtz springs to mind.
ReplyDeleteMichael Chiklis?
ReplyDeleteIf Mandy Patinkin leaves his current show, as he usually does . . .
ReplyDeleteSo he'll mistake correlation for causality?
ReplyDeleteChristopher Lloyd -- he's already played Larry Lessig, after all...
ReplyDeleteJeff Goldblum.
ReplyDeleteDoes it need to be a dude? Because Glenn Close can play inspired/crazy, and Damages is over, right?
ReplyDeleteIf David Straithairn wasn't doing such a great job on Alphas I'd suggest him.
ReplyDeleteTherefore, I vote Michael Emerson
John Cusack.
ReplyDeleteMmm, Clarke Peters could be available.
ReplyDeleteThink Crispin Glover could hold it together long enough to do a TV series?
ReplyDeleteThis is a good point. Why is the character assumed to be male unless otherwise stated? And further, why are the suggestions all white guys? Sad panda.
ReplyDeleteGlenn Close plays Martha Nussbaum -- she's the Art Howe in this equation.
ReplyDeleteWhy not Andre Braugher for the lead?
House.
ReplyDeleteJohn Noble.
ReplyDeleteOops. But I always find the "guest was me" posts a bit silly, so I'm not going to tell you who I am.
ReplyDeleteJemery Davies
ReplyDeleteJeremy Davies
ReplyDeleteChloe Sevigny.
ReplyDeleteTed McGinley.
ReplyDeleteI am available. Particularly if Kevin Bacon will be involved in any way.
ReplyDeleteGuest was not me.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that sort of like Numb3rs that used to be on CBS?
