HIPPING AND THE HOPPING WITH THE BIPPING AND THE BOPPING: I happened to be flipping around the tv late Friday
when Bill Cosby showed up on Jimmy Fallon's show and ended up talking to The Roots and reviving some North Philly/South Philly tensions. Cosby's cadence and timing, even now at the age of 75, remains a national treasure.
"When he was say... sayn-- sayng-ing..."
ReplyDeleteFallon's show is nice for providing bits that Jimmy _should_ be giggling through.
How much do I love that the Roots did the "chocolate cake for breakfast" song for Cosby's intro? SO SO MUCH.
ReplyDeleteRe: Next to last clip:
ReplyDeletePoint of order from a Ray Charles fan: The song is actually "(Night Time Is) The Right Time"

When he's close-talking Jimmy up against the tuba at the end of the first clip is when I lost it.
ReplyDeleteI miss Bill Cosby. That was stupendous.
ReplyDelete"His name is ?uestLove. .....with a question mark."
ReplyDelete"I would agree!"
Classic.
