Two of my three cats are doing this very thing for SCIENCE. They're part of the KittyCam study, a project at the UGA Wildlife school, sponsored in part by National Geographic.
Their cameras aren't nearly as off-the-shelf looking - they're basic camera guts inside a plastic ob-tampon carrying case.
ETA: they're not nearly as much fun as the Superchunk kitty - so far it's been a lot of hanging out under the neighbor's porch, under another neighbor's truck, down in the storm sewer, with the most exciting thing being the climbing of a tree.
Loved it. Too bad not kid friendly; I have a 3 year old nuts for Parry Gripp videos and I gotta say PG's musical oerve occaisionally sounds almost like a parody of S. Chunk.

Now I understand why my kitten escaped for the first time today
ReplyDeleteBest thing I've watched this week. Thanks...
