I WILL BE HERE WHEN YOU ARE READY TO ROLL WITH THE CHANGES: For those readers having trouble viewing comments while using Internet Explorer, click here for some help.

added question: I now can add a "Recent Comments" widget somewhere in our sidebar column. Would you like to see one, and if so, where?

I'm trying it out to see if I have problems.

    Is this thing on? 3 - 2 - 1 - testing.

No recent comments widget. Many posts here are "behind the jump" to allow the author and commenters to post without spoiling events, shows, etc. Sounds like this widget would undo that protection.

Having zero luck seeing comments with IE. No idea why. Works fine with either Firefox or Chrome.

New commenty thing is fine, if a little annoying to get registered with -- but can you change the order in which they display, first to last instead of last to first? I hate having to scroll down to see the beginning of a discussion, and catching tidbits of it as I go. Plus I think it encourages the TL;DR mindset, and this is one of the few places on the Internets where the commentary (and the commentariat) is worth reading and participating in -- so many thoughtful and/or hilarious people here!

  8. The little down arrow next to "Discussion" lets you pick how you want sorted--it defaults to "newest [first]," but you can also set it to "oldest [first]." Cookie remembers it.
