I'M GUESSING THIS ONE MIGHT HAVE TOO MUCH BLACK SWAN: We'd jokingly proposed Breaking Bunheads a while ago, but now, Starz has put into development a drama about the "dark and gritty" "dysfunctional underbelly" of the ballet world from a Breaking Bad producer, cementing our position of power over all of Hollywood.

  1. So, lots of eating disorders, backstabbing, and bleeding feet? I think there's only so much of that I can take.

BTW, Becca, have you seen First Position? Netflix keeps recommending it on streaming for me and Christina was wondering about it.

Starz? If picked up, this might be seen by as many viewers as Party Down!

Could be awesome. Could be ridiculously awful....and not in the fun way.

By the way, those who are not watching Bunheads are missing out. If only for the fact that this may be the greatest intersection of ALOTT5MA Faves (TM) in one show: Amy Sherman-Palladino, Kelly Bishop, Liza Weil (and numerous other Gilmore Girls alumni), Sutton Foster, Mindy from FNL, SYTYCD alumni, snarky pop culture references, roller derby....and last night, Sutton's brother Foster played her character's brother. It was even better than I thought it would be. Don't want to spoil it, but the last ten minutes were brilliant.

  6. I'm loving it (and it wasn't until after the show and Sepinwall pointing it out that I knew that was Sutton's real brother).

  7. First Position is a lot of fun. If you like this kind of thing, you'll like it.
