There was just an article in the SF Chronicle about how crappy A's attendance is these days. I'm a Giants guy and an NL guy, but the A's are certainly my favorite AL team. Hopefully this will give them a boost.
By all accounts, he's a good guy, too. Despite the tough exterior and attitude, he's a big supporter of his home town and his home town little league (which he credits with "saving him").
And against Tampa Bay, no less. Impressive.
